Eileen was born and brought up in London and Essex and  moved up to Scotland  in 1998.  She live in Central/Southern Scotland close to The Borders where she is surrounded by the hills and countryside of South Lanarkshire.  The largest town around, Lanark, a market town and nearby Biggar are steeped in history with such famous names as William Wallace, Hugh McDuirmid and John Buchanan, it was also in Biggar that two farmers founded the Albion Motor Company.
It is in this setting that Eileen has  her workshop and where she gets her ideas to create  art.

Artist Statement

As an artist I believe you have to be comfortable with your own company, because you're often alone with your work.  I've always been comfortable being alone but I also enjoy meeting up with group members and painting with them

Feeling good about yourself and confident about what you can do only go to improving your creative results.
